Foxdie 3.6.2 with a lot updating is finally out.
Go to the Download Page to install it.
There are 3 way to access the customization page:
- a. Click on the Foxdie icon on the lower left corver of the status bar
- b. Tools –> Foxdie for Firefox –> Customize
- c. Bookmark chrome://foxdie/content/web/index.html

A little FAQ
1. Q: The button panel doesn’t display sometimes, why?
A: Refresh the page then you will have it display, this is a bug we haven’t found the reason yet…
2. Q: Why the “Black” isn’t a full dark theme?
A: I’ve redesigned this dark theme twice on Firefox 3.6.*, but it breaks the balance of this themes pack and burdens me more and more, if I keep the full dark one, it will turn to be a dead end for Foxdie 4 especially when I’m trying add Aero Glass and Tab on Top supports on version 4. So… I have to say that the half dark one is the only solution for now…

mmm, great theme, but “half dark” ist ok, full dark is better. i use foxdie 3.5.2 on firefox 3.6.6 without problems, its full dark and looks ok

Yes, because the white text boxes don’t fit the hot red of Iron Man, and for some tech reason, it will be a little trouble if I don’t set a constant color for it.

3 ways to have the traffic lights on Windows:
a. 3rd-party system theme
b. full screen (F11)
c. hide caption
if a, change to a left side window control theme
if b, I haven’t tried to move it yet
if c, I haven’t tried to move it either, and this extension will be dead on Firefox 4.

Foxdie uses your system font, but the font-size is 95%, so you need to change your system font a little bit.
I suggest “use Lucida Grande” and then decrease the font size through the control panel, or right click on desktop–>display…..

Actually I’ve already uploaded it to Mozilla on July 14, and re-uploaded it with something fixed today, but users would never see it at once, because every add-on submitted to Mozilla has to be reviewed by Mozilla’s editor if it wants to be appear in the add-ons list.
And now there are 101 add-ons pending in sandbox, mine is the 102th one. When could mine be reviewed? The editor need to review the 101 ones one bye one first, then it will be my turn….
Slow? The shortest one I’ve been through was in a day, but the longest one was in almost a month…
So… I contacted an editor personally to review mine at once when I upload version 3.5.2, I might need to do the same this time…
But… you can always install it via these download buttons:

No matter an Add-On there contains viruses or not, if users install it before it’s reviewed by editor, they will always see that, because Mozilla takes responsibility for the safeness.
Foxdie won’t contain any viruses, that will make everyone hates me, which is opposite to what I’m doing.

Corrupt extension configuration files can cause problems when trying to install an extension. Deleting these files will make Firefox recreate them (removing any corruption) the next time it starts. You won’t lose your extensions or their settings by deleting these files.
1. From the menu at the top of the Firefox window, select File and then select the Exit menu item.
2. Go to your profile folder.
3. Delete the following files:
* extensions.ini
* extensions.cache
* extensions.rdf
4. Restart Firefox.
OK so that should sort out your extension problem, please reply and tell me if this works so i know if theres anything else I can help you with.

Hey John, really love the Foxdie extension, but after I upgraded from 3.5.2 to 3.6.1 and 3.6.2, the various button types have become limited. Is there some way to get those buttons back? Like Leo and Aero and all those. Thanks.

You have “Leo” as the default button, if you are using other ones, 2 ways to get back “Leo”
1. Click “Restore to Default”
2. Or… Click “Square” of the “shape”, and Click “Snow” of the “Colors”
The only change for it is that I’m not using the name “Leo” anymore, it’s meaningless.
“Aero” button comes from the Default theme, which will use a new set of button in Firefox 4.
Other buttons are not completed and personal stuffs, they are not appropriate for Foxdie anymore.

If it’s possible, could you add an arrow at the back/next navigation filed? I am sure that a lot of people want to get back to the website they navigated through by 3 or 4 websites. And there are some sites that does not let us go back to the previous site when clicking back button or “backspace” on the keyboard, they just keep refreshing.
Hence, the arrow of navigation would be very useful

Can you please please please disable/fix the problem when the browser window will ‘Restore Down’ or resize when you click and drag anywhere on the Bookmarks Toolbar. I sometimes misclick the links on this toolbar and the window annoyingly resizes. The theme would be perfect with this fix!

You don’t need to reinstall firefox, just reinstall foxdie, if it doesn’t work, then it’s mostly profile’s problem, you just need to use a new profile. How? remove the old one then the system will create you a new one

Version 4 is much more complicate than 3.6, because I need to support “Tab on Top”, which has to be designed with a different navigation toolbar structure, also, “Aero Glass” supporting for Windows 7 and Vista will be added.
The key of hardest part is that, “Tab on Top” and “Aero Glass” have to be mixed with and work with every “Appearance” options.

Thanks for the info, I set up a new firefox profile and now it works! so there hast to be something currupt in the about:config changes I have made. Now it even works faster. The only thing missing in the new profile is the bookmarks, so I’ll just import them from my old profile and I’m good to go!

One thing I found missing is – there used to be a lighter GOLD color scheme under Appearance called “Gold 1″ – I cannot find that anymore and is replaced by a darker gold scheme. I used to like the previous one.
