Just joking

Thanks for your patience
Yeah, after 3.6’s releasing, everything will be updated very fast from now on.
I can understand, as for selfish, everyone can be selfish, me included, I’m also sorry for my yelling at you before, but I finally couldn’t control myself recently because of the pressure, hope you understand me as well
And thanks for you patience too

Hey John-
You’ve done a super job with Foxdie 3.6.1b. Great piece of theme work for Fx 3.6.x; nice alternative to Personas! Thank you
(Quote)
Looks and works great so far.
Thanks.
Can you show us what the graphite scheme will look like?

Well done, looking forward a long time, your work really benefits our Linux users.
Thanks.

Hey John,
Thank you for your great work.
It might be just me, but what is actually the difference between “Textures:none” & “Textures:brushed”. Is it just because I am using OS X 10.6.3?
Is it possible to add an option to change the background colour of the address&search field to white for example?
Thanks again.
(Quote)
Hi john. Thank you for releasing this super theme! Im so glad that the wait is over!
Just one question: Does it work with glasser?
(Quote)
Hey John!
Great Job man! Will there be more colors available in v2??
I would love brushed and black!

But I have a problem with the CPU load on OS X 10.5.8, goes until 75%. Any ideas?

I like it.
And
THANK YOU!
(Quote)
Thanks alot John. I might sound ungrateful but how about bringing the options back to hide the “+” sign in the tab bar and also clicking anywhere in the tab bar to open up a new tab. Those will make Foxdie complete
and thanks again for a awesome theme.
(Quote)
@Ralph: My graphite mod is using a white adress field.
If you want to tweak it a little further, add this code to your userchrome.css:
/*Set Menu bar font to Verdana*/
menubar > menu > label {
font-weight: normal !important;
font-family: Verdana !important;
font-size: 8pt !important;
}
/*Set Personal Bookmark Toolbar Font to Tahoma*/
#personal-bookmarks .toolbarbutton-text {
font-size: 8pt !important;
font-family: Tahoma !important;
font-weight: bold !important;
}
/* Set Tab Font to Verdana */
.tabbrowser-tabs .tab-text {
text-align: center !important;
font-size: 8pt !important;
font-weight: normal !important;
font-family: Verdana !important;
color: #585858 !important;
}
/* Set Personal Bookmark Bar and Tab Color to lighter shade of grey */
.tabbrowser-tab[selected="true"],
toolbarbutton.bookmark-item:not(:hover) > .toolbarbutton-text {
color: #585858 !important;
text-shadow: 0 0px rgba(255,255,255,.8) !important;
}
.tabbrowser-tab[selected="true"],
toolbarbutton.bookmark-item:hover > .toolbarbutton-text {
color: #f1f1f1 !important;
text-shadow: 0 0px rgba(255,255,255,.8) !important;

And if you don’t want to edit UserChrome.css manually, you can install the ‘ChromeEdit’ add-on and just paste the code there.

@Carlos:
If you wan to hide the ‘+’ icon to open new tabs, just use this code with your UserChrome.css:
.tabs-newtab-button {display: none;}
(Quote)
Hm, hiding the + Icon didn’t work with this code. Strange ….
You can install “Remove New Tab Button” Add-On: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/10535/
It injects the same css-code, but it’s working as I just tested myself.
(Quote)
@Carlos, again:
Opening a new empty tab by double clicking on the tab bar works for me.

John i have another question:
Will there be more button themes in one of the future releases of foxdie 3.6.x? As there were in the previous versions. My favorite was the one called “Rhino”.
Will you bring it back?
(Quote)
Hi, you can see it here http://www.foxdie.us/2009/08/27/whats-the-difference-between-blue-and-graphite-version
(Quote)
Hello
There is no difference between “None” and “Brush” when you are using the Gray color, because I think gray with brush is ugly, but you will see that brush is better if you switch to other colors
I’ll add a white color background to location bar and search bar next time.
(Quote)
Hi, it’s no need to waste time on Glasser on 3.6 right now, because Firefox 4 will support it by itself
(Quote)
Thanks
Some colors need a little changing.
The black color I showed before broke many places, so I need to redesign it later, it will be put into the “Not available yet” pane…
(Quote)
Thank for your always being supported, I’ll upload it there with 3.6.2, I guess… next month
(Quote)
Hi John – great work on 3.6.1 – thanks!
Just to note that there is a conflict between your theme and Aging Tabs – you get a horizontal stripe across the middle of the non-focus tabs. Don’t know where the problem lies, but there’s an easy solution – disable Aging Tabs!
David
(Quote)
I have no idea about this right now, mine is always low
(Quote)
Yes, there will be options to customize that background, but not now, we need to set a right format for it first.
And the UFO is a test, I need to change its position at all bottom bars next time, I just forgot it…
You can edit .jar file with 7zip, that’s what I use, you just need to replace the the res/toolbar/ufo.png with your image, if you have trouble on this, send it to me, I’ll change it for you…
(Quote)
You are welcome and thanks for your helping to those Graphite fans
(Quote)
I was suppose to send you a test version first, but it’s canceled by the LOST
You mean you can go back from the round buttons? just don’t use the “Round” on the Button panel
(Quote)
Thanks for your patience, white background will be added in next version
(Quote)
2 reasons I removed them from 3.6
1. Single click on tabbar caused a weird bug before
2. In firefox 4, you can drag it from Tab Toolbar to the customize window, like how we do the same to toolbar buttons.
But I’ll try if I can fix that weird bug later
(Quote)
Hi

Adding them back is a hard job.
Firefox 4 will do the same as what I’m doing to these buttons right now, they put every button icon into a button background, and keep the icon small. Those buttons like Camino and Rhino etc will break this balance, and it’s hard to deal with other extensions.
So I’m not sure at this time…
(Quote)
Great work John! The delay was really worthwhile
I have some questions:
1. Take a look at the outline/halo effect around the text: http://img532.imageshack.us/img532/3972/capturegk.png
As far as I remember, that was caused from an option for Glassier compatibility in one of your previous versions. Do you know how to fix it?
2. I think that none of your tone of gray/silver matches exactly to the original Safari 4 color: http://images.apple.com/safari/images/overlay-topsites-1-20090529.jpg
I think that you have to adjust them a bit.
3. At last, are you sure that Safari 4 still uses Lucida Grande? http://images.apple.com/safari/images/whatsnew-more-address-20090217.jpg
(Quote)
Yes, Any colors and Personas have the same problem too, because they are designed for the default theme, so now Personas doesn’t support any other 3rd-party theme anymore…
(Quote)
@John:
I didn’t have to do much work on the graphite mod – you already included the color codes in the css files thankfully. I did replace the scrollbars however, some icons and modified the URL bar background for a white background. By parsing the code, I recognized a real expert at work here. Very advanced techniques .. you have all my respect!
You don’t know why the standard “.tabs-newtab-button {display: none !important;} ” doesn’t work in UserChrome.css but only with this plugin I mentioned erlier? Next thing I’ll try is to replace the backgroundwith the pinstripe design. Unfortunately your theme offers only the customization for the complete panel. I want all *but* the personal bookmark bar and the tab-bar to be pinstriped. Any ideas?
(Quote)
You can get the codes for white background location bar and searchbar from the mac/browser/textbox.css, I removed them from windows version by mistake
Just replace it with the part between /* */
3 files you need to replace
1. browser/textbox.css
2. browser/extension.css (easy to find at top part, it’s for the DOMI)
3. browser/places/organize.css
I’ll try new tab button later
Pinstripe… you can tell me what color you want on nav-bar and what color on bookmarks bar and tabbar

Hi Michael, any ideas as to why, after installing your modified graphite theme, why I’m still seeing light green location and search engine bars?
Les
(Quote)
@Les: No idea, sorry. It’s working for me. Which OS are you using? Did you uninstall the original Foxdie theme before? I always get a white background, given that I use some white style like “Milk”.
@John: Thanks for the explanation. I would like to send you the pinstripe design. Maybe you can provide your email ? I’m currently using a custom tweaked iFox Smooth Theme. That was also the reason I was holding on Firefox 3.5x for so long
Now I try to come as close to my modified design with FoxDie.
(Quote)
Take your time! I didn’t want to sound as if I was complaining. I appreciate the great work you are accomplishing in your spare time, and I am very thankful for you sharing it with us.
Btw. it’s easy to temporarily fix this by oneself. I just edited the textbox.css file inside the /extensions/Foxdie@tanjihay.com/chrome/foxdie.jar file and set every background attribute to white. The path to the textbox.css file inside the archive is /mac/browser/textbox.css for Mac users and /win/browser/textbox.css for windows users.

Oops, too late

Thanks John i edited with 7zip but my edit looks like hell
at least for now it looks more unified with my os theme.. waiting for final with remove https label preference and of course personas support.. thanks again
(Quote)
Hi

1. You don’t want the text-shadow? They are everywhere in the world of css3, especially in the mac world…
2. The Gradient of Snow Leopard is from #d1d1d1 to #a7a7a7, you might need to hide the menubar on window if you want the exactly same toolbar, if you mean it doesn’t match the OS theme you are using, then it’s OS theme’s problem, see below, Finder–Safari4–Foxdie 3.6
3. Yes, Safari4 is still using Lucida Grande as other Apple Apps
(Quote)
1. I’ve deleted the “https lable removing” code…
2. Personas won’t support 3rd-party themes since Firefox 3.6 anymore, it’s Mozilla’s decision, because it break too many themes…
(Quote)
Hi john, its me again.
I have two final question:
1.: Is there any way to get rid of the green-ish background color in the address bar and search bar?
Im talking about this:
http://h.imagehost.org/0655/greenish.jpg
2.: Under some buttons the color doesnt match the whole theme’s color. Here is another screenshot to understand it better:
The problem is on the right, you will see:
http://j.imagehost.org/0158/buttons.png
(Quote)
oh i see… thanks anyway.. hoping a customizable backround then
(Quote)
You are right about everything.
1. I was using the silver color, which made the effect more visible. In gray it’s more subtle.
2. I have set the menubar hidden. In this mode the gradient effect it’s not fully deployed.
3. Check the comparison with the real Safari: http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/3619/67346614.png
Yes the fonts are the same, but in Snow Leopard is way more beautiful. I think it’s the way that Snow Leopard renders fonts in general. So, it’s not your blame
4. Can you do something with the spot I’ve highlighted in the above screenshot? It would be nice if you could mimic the curve.
Btw, sorry about my poor English. I hope that you understand what I’m trying to say

Thanks!

3. Fonts display much better in OS X than in Windows, some people use Gdi++ to make it look like on OS X…
4. That need to use images, and it’s very hard to control when I want to unify everything of the tabbar…
Another reason is that it caused a weird bug to some users in version 3.5.2, so I think it’s no need to make it exactly the same as Safari.
(Quote)
I’ll change it back to white again and fix that Personal Menu buttons this week, then you need to install it again when you find I use a white background screen shot

hey John, thanks a lot for this theme, it’s great, but there are some issues for me:
1. I would like to have the favicon, also on the last tab
2. A close button for the last tab would be nice, in the beta version it worked, i don’t want to install another addon just for that
have a great day !
(Quote)
I tried with new profile -> it’s OK.
Seem like my old profile, foxdie cannot write the config to prefs.js!!
I have a lot of config with my old profile… cannot migrate to new profile… Could you fix that?

is it my eyes’ problem or all color selections except gray have a gradient?
(Quote)
First, thanks for the release of 3.6.1. Been patient since releasing of FF3.6 and here we get recompensed
Second, thanks for the above tip, have looked for that desperately too and couldn’t find it.
Third: Very nice styles, most of all I like Camino but unfortunately Camino doesn’t offer the possibility to change the color to Silver2 which I would need to harmonize with my SnowTunes OS theme. So I’m using the Safari4 style which is also nice
So, in sum thanks for your hard work and spending so much of your leisure time for this project respectively for us !! Keep going.
Greets from an to India delegated German

Ahh, one thing to add maybe: When using any other style than Camino I get a white line between the window and button bar. Is this normal?!

another question request or something like that
is it possible to use systems gradient for background in mac?
thanks for reading :thumbsup:

how can you go to small icon mode so i can get those back and forth buttons like in the screen shot.

3. I didn’t know that it was possible on Windows. Thanks, I’ll give it a try.
4. Ok. Fcuk it!
Thanks again for your hard work

Hi John Locke, outstanding job again, waiting was worth of it…
Just one note about status bar – now there is no option to select slim or thick, right? I use thick one, because of some weather & other addons icons, but it still hopping / jumping to slim one during page loading – and it is a bit annoying – is it possible to fix it anyhow? Thx.
(Quote)
Thanks…
I changed how icons work on toolbars, so it’s a little hard on that Apple icon for compact menu 2, but it won’t be a big problem, because Firefox 4 will use an APP button to kill the menubar.
(Quote)
It will be back in version 4
(Quote)
Okay, I’ll try
(Quote)
Thanks, I’ll try in next version
(Quote)
Since it’s caused by an old profile, then you should fix the old profile instead, but fixing it is meaningless , old profiles only slow down Firefox, you will find that everything is faster with a new one.
(Quote)
Every color has a gradient there, it will easier to find that in version 4, because the title bar will be themed as well
You will have the system gradient in Mac if you are using the “Gray” or the “Classic Gray”
(Quote)
no i mean the system theme.. if oyu used sometime the SnowTunes theme brighter than the default snow leopard theme.. if i choose gray option titlebar is more brighter than the background of toolbar.. i am searching an option like just toolbar buttons and tab bar will be foxdied when toolbar background used from the system theme..
(Quote)
i mean the backround like this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/persona/44880
(Quote)
Thanks for all
I like Camino too, that’s why the default theme is always Camino, but the buttons are a little hard to bring back right now…
(Quote)
So you are on Mac, that’s normal, you will know why when you restart Firefox or open a new Firefox window, or switch to full screen then switch back again.
Because we can’t change the title bar untill 4.0, and black-white lines look better than black line, so I need to add a white one when it’s changed.
(Quote)
Thanks
See?
Another way:
Right click on toolbar–>Customize
(Quote)
Thanks for your patience and reporting, I didn’t test enough on this before, but I’ll fix it later
(Quote)
I’ve once made an option with the iTune’s background in last month, but it was removed, I can add it back in version 4.
SnowTune uses the iTunes gradient, right?
(Quote)
i think yes it uses itunes gradient… and it will be awesome if you will add it on next release.. (3.6.2 or 4 doesn’t matter) thanks a bunch
(Quote)
We can’t have unified toolbar on Firefox 3.6 if we don’t use the default Snow Leopard gradient, but Firefox 4 can change its title bar, like the Iron Man screen shot I post before. So… make it on 3.6 won’t be a good choice, see other colors, 2 lines(black-white) have to be there…
(Quote)
Are you going to include the comino buttons in your next release????Thanks…
(Quote)
i guess so,and must be!
(Quote)
hmm.. allright then.. i have an idea about that… a custom color selection maybe? that we can choose? with no gradient like gray option? thanks you for your patience.. and all of your efforts of course..
(Quote)
by the way; can i edit the color selection like ufo.png? i mean where is the background color codes.. if you can pass over this info i can try myself to make mine more unified.. thanks in advance
(Quote)
But in Camino style I don’t get this white line. Still normal?
(Quote)

Too bad it doesn’t support glasser extension
And pure colors, they are all so weak/ lifeless. You can’t make a dark theme

(Quote)
now i know what i am exactly searching:
thanks in advance John
how can i change the gray options color code? if i can change it my setup looks awesome till the foxdie 4 released
(Quote)
or which setting remove the white bar between toolbar and titlebar?
(Quote)
Hey John!
Do you know a way to disable the close buttons on all tabs, on all time?
(Quote)
Okay, in next version, but these following buttons won’t be changed:
Cut, Copy, Paste, Full Screen, Bookmark adding, Extensions
(Quote)
Yes, it’s normal, because the Camino (Default) style means Restore to Default, nothing in the Appearance panel is used by that
Only Firefox 4 will have unified toolbar on Every color, Like the Iron Man I posted before
(Quote)
Because I don’t want to waste time on Glasser until Firefox 4 supports Aero Glass by itself.
I got lost with these colors, so some of them are not that good, I just need time to rest my eyes first.
And the dark themes I posted before breaks too many places when I tried to make every window dark with white texts, so I need to redesign it later, it will be put into the “Not available yet” pane
(Quote)
Good news
(Quote)
Thanks for your patience, mate
(Quote)
Miscellaneous–>Tab Close Button–>Hide
This option will be used by default in version 4
(Quote)
What about me
:D
(Quote)
This isn’t what you are thinking, but you can try it
The Gray unified toolbar has been used by default
.toolbar-primary,
window > toolbox:nth-of-type(1) > toolbar:nth-of-type(1) {
-moz-appearance: -moz-mac-unified-toolbar;
}
so the “Gray” option does nothing on the Navigation Toolbar, it changes only Toolbars and Tab bar to match the Gray default Unified Toolbar.
But what you are trying to do is to change it to a different gradient background, then you will have what other colors just have, the title bar won’t change, and you will always have the “white bar between toolbar and titlebar” as you have mentioned.
THERE IS NO WAY TO CHANGE IT ON FIREFOX 3.6, ONLY FIREFOX 4 CAN DO IT BECAUSE OF THIS https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=513158
If you are still trying to do it.
You need to do the following:
extract the foxdie_ext.xpi…
extract the chrome/foxdie.jar
go to skin/mac/app/
You will see
1. nav.css
2. skin/mac/app/solid/(colors).css
3. skin/mac/app/solid/3/(colors).css
skin/mac/app/solid/4/(colors).css
skin/mac/app/solid/des/(colors).css
skin/mac/app/solid/down/(colors).css
skin/mac/app/solid/fire/(colors).css
For example, if you want to add a SnowTune color here, you need change one into it, don’t try with the gray.css, it will be more complicate and it won’t give you a unified toolbar on 3.6. try other colors, like pink3.css.
change the skin/mac/app/solid/pink3.css first
then change the skin/mac/app/solid/4/pink3.css if you are using the Safari4 style
…
…
…
How to change these 2 files? I’m afraid you might not be interested in it anymore, especially after you open these files, I guess you have known why it isn’t a good idea to add option to let users customize the colors themselves, because it is not easy to set a good color, most colors would be horrible on the themes…
(Quote)
I miss the dark/black foxdie theme from 3.5.x.

thanks for your time and detailed explanation. i will try tonight when i get back home.. thanks again :bow:

I’m not sure right now
As you might have seen that I posted some screenshots about another dark foxdie before, but it breaks too many places when I tried to make every window dark with white texts, so I need to redesign it later.
The easiest way for me is making only the main-window dark, then I can bring back those 2 dark themes
(Quote)
No, I meant “disable”, not “hide”. Like the behavior of the tab when it is alone. There is no close button. I don’t know if it is possible to have this behavior. I tried to change the browser.tabs.closeButtons value (about:config) from 1 to 0, but there is no visible change.
(Quote)
Okay, then I’ll add a “Disable” there in next version

Kick-ass theme, John!
The theme takes over my font type and size and options in OS Integration don’t revert it to the original. This was an issue with the previous version of Foxdie, too; I love the theme, but I don’t think it should take over my font choices. Can anything be done about that?
(Quote)
i see you are right about the titlebar issue, it’s too complicated and confusing.. i tried what you wrote and no luck to get what i wish.. can we use foxdie 4 with firefox 3.6.3 so foxdie can change titlebar too? or we have to wiat firefox 4 for what i am askin persistently ?
and i have to say that after playing with the foxdie.jar; you and your team are genious.. so much code and so much effort lays under this theme.. thank you.. thank you.. thank you…
(Quote)
This theme uses OS font as the default theme does since version 3.6
It won’t change your font style unless you tick Miscellaneous–>Use Lucida Grande, so…are you using this?
(Quote)
You are welcome, and that’s why we can’t release it in time…
The key is not Foxdie 4 but Firefox 4, we will release version 4 for the nightly build of Firefox in a month, then you don’t need to wait for FF 4, because the nightly build is already FF 4 alpha.
(Quote)
thank you for all of your kind and patient responses John. foxdie is much more than a theme or an addon.. it became like a piece of software that we cannot drop easily and i think we all need a support forum for this baby
this time i will be more patient about the release of foxdie’s next version.. because now i know what’s under the hood.. it’s not just a chassis.. it has it’s own engine and surely it’s aliveeee
(Quote)
I’m not. The font is the same, but it did change my preset size. I worked around it by going into my OS preferences and changing it there. Just FYI, using this theme changes the font and the font size even in other Firefox add-ons, like Echofon, which I use for Twitter. It’s not a big deal at all, but it definitely happens.
Still. This is a tremendous theme: you delivered big time, John. Thank you so much!

Dear John,
I can’t seems to access the ‘Button’ section in the customize page.
I clicked it and it didn’t show anything. Help please.
I wanted your button. D:
(Quote)
Well I waited to install 3.6.1 to see if there are any problems, and since there didn’t seem to be any big ones I installed 3.6.1. There is one problem that I have, I can open the Customize page but none of the buttons work. I have even installed Foxdie using a brand new profile and still have no joy with customization. I can offer that the “Start Up” page can not be loaded; I will look further but I am afraid my coding skills are pretty rusty.

I solved my problems in an interesting way, it appears things all work properly, i.e. all the sub menus work, only if I am using a release version, an app that has an internal name of “Firefox”, not Namoroka. Interesting thing, don’t you think? It’s not the first time I have had such weirdness with a program, especially Firefox. Great job John, I do look forward to using black in the future. Cheers!

Thanks for all of your hard work John. Thanks to you, my FF looks all slick and clean like it used to – I like a thin and clutter free toolbar area (more area for information). I was curious to see what Safari 5 would bring to the table (was kinda hoping they would make some GUI changes) and was once again disappointed. Thanks to your Foxdie and Firefox, I don’t have to stare at the ugly and clunky Safari GUI.
Curious. What kind of changes are to be expected in the newer versions of Foxdie, both 3.6.2 and 4? Looking at some of the screenshots, it doesn’t look too different.
I just hope that Mozilla improves on FF’s efficiency some (it’s a little bloated), especially when Flash is around, when they release FF 4.
Beautiful work as always man. Thanks!
(Quote)
John,
I thought of a couple of questions/suggestions. Would it be possible to have the “+” for adding a bookmark (visible with the “Safari4 Location Bar” selected) support graphite illumination rather than just the aqua blue?
I was also wondering if it would be possible to add support to change the color of the folders used for bookmarks (the drop down menus for the bookmarks toolbar)?
Thanks again for all your hard work and an outstanding theme

Just have a small problem on kubuntu, I can’t select/choose any bookmark folder in bookmark window. This works fine on WinXP. I took a screenshot here: http://www.mediafire.com/?yygxnny1nma. Could you please take a look? maybe there’s a simple way to disable the bookmark customization. Thanks in advance!

A little question;
Is there any way to make the BACK button square, like the other buttons? I’m not talking about the rounded buttons function (I took a look at that, but I still like the square buttons). The back button is ALWAYS rounded. Is there any way to make it look like the screenshot? (May be it’s really easy but I still don’t get it XD so please a hand!!)
Thank you once again
Greetings from a earthquacked friend, recovering from that, in this far and weird country called Chile. We are getting on our feet! (And Foxdie makes some geeky guys happy hehehe)

If you miss a button, the window resizes. It’s like clicking on the “Restore down”-button (in the mid of minimize, restore down, close). (FF 3.6.3, Win 7 64 bit)
Thx in advance!

Files that store information about the extensions you have installed can sometimes be corrupted. Deleting them can fix a number of extension issues; they will be regenerated the next time you start Firefox. [16][17]. Exit Firefox completely, then open your Firefox profile folder (read the linked article for its location) and delete* these three files:
extensions.ini
extensions.cache
extensions.rdf
* Note : Although unwanted files/folders can be deleted, renaming them is generally considered a safer option. This achieves the same result, but allows the user to retrieve any possibly required information from them later on. In the case above, rename the above 3 files as , ‘extensionsOLD.ini’, ‘extensionsOLD.cache’, ‘extensionsOLD.rdf’ Installing themes or extensions may fail with the message, Unexpected installation error -203. (If this occurs after a Software Update you may find that add-ons that were previously installed also do not work.) Follow the above directions to remove corrupt extension files. [18] If the problem is not resolved and you use ZoneAlarm or CA Firewall, disable it temporarily (enable Windows Firewall in the interim) to allow the installation. [19] If the problem persists, your profile may be corrupt (bug 361358). Use the Profile Manager to create a new profile [20] or create a new default profile [21] and then transfer your data to the newly-created profile.

Foxdie 3.6.1 for Firefox 3.6.* has officially been released!
Go to the Download Page to install it.
Foxdie 3.6.2 and 4.0 will be released in about 2-3 weeks!
NOTE: Graphite for NON-OS X users is not in 3.6.1, but it will be in 3.6.2

Something weird is going on with buttons. I have Google toolbar; some buttons have a tiny drop-down arrow for RSS feeds. All of a sudden, those buttons have become huge and look different from those without the RSS feesd. Going back to 3.6 beta has solved the problem but, obviously, this way I have no way to customize the theme at all. What gives?
(Quote)
Are you okay John Locke?!

Hi
Some information here:
1. #178 is very hard to explain clearly, most of the problems he mentioned is of the “Hide Caption” extension, I want to reply everyone instead of jumping to #179… Also, I haven’t had time to change the theme for Michael yet…
2. I said 2-3 weeks… but I had to spend 2 weeks on fixing and changing for feedback of 3.6.1, so I just need 2 more weeks to finish 3.6.2, this is out of my plan, and I’ve re-picked all the color and optimize many details in 3.6.2. It will be released soon…
3. This guy asked me to help him with a theme, I said “YES” so have to share him some time
http://dreamxis.deviantart.com/
4. The last thing is sad, my kindest uncle(the youngest brother of my mum) was just diagnoised with Advance liver cancer 10 days ago. Doctors said it’s too late to cure him and he doesn’t have much time left, so we the family must stay with him in hospital

Hi, your questions are the hardest for me to explain clearly, I can now simply say that most of those are that extension’s problem except your 2nd screenshot, its author should change that instead of my doing that for it, and I think this extension will be dead when Firefox 4 comes out, Hiding the chrome frame would never be a good idea to me
(Quote)
Thanks, the differences between Foxdie 3.6 and 4.0 is like the one between Firefox 3.6 and 4.0
(Quote)
I’d tried graphite + before, but it won’t look good, because graphite is a little blue and gray and dark, it won’t be so standout anymore, after that I understand why Apple never use Graphite on such icons

Changing details like the folder icons will let users thought that I can change everything for them, it will lead to a not that good situation which is I can’t maintain all of these anymore
But… it’s easy, if you want to change it yourself, you only need to replace mac(win)/global/tree/folder.png and folder-open.png
(Quote)
No, Safari never has this feature, it’s a plug-in.
But Foxdie is never a emulation of Safari, it’s a features pack I and my friends like.

No need to add this button just because Safari has it, we should focus on making it look better rather than making it look like another browser

Hey John,
I’m back again. I have to change the description of the problem. Maybe it’s easier to fix now. (Just by changing sth in the settings). I’m using a laptop via mousepad (w/o mouse). I found out that the resizing window is not caused by doubleclicking. It’s as if I hold the left mouse button and moving the mouse. Of course I don’t provoke it (just want to make a double click with the mouse button and my fingertip still touches the pad (and obviously is enough for starting the resize process …) Ok, one could say, change your cklicking behavior. But the strange thing is that this doesn’t happen with the default theme applied. I can’t resize the window via this method in default theme.
Maybe it is just a adjustments in my options???
Another thing is: How can I move the text search from the right side in the statusbar the the left side (like in the default theme)?
Thanks
Egalo
