Instruction:
3.1.9.* was upgraded from 3.1.0, but it was originally designed for Firefox 3.0 not Firefox 3.5,
Due to your waiting for the final perfect Foxdie 3.5 theme which I haven’t finished, I fixed some bugs of 3.1.0 to make it compatible with Firefox 3.5, but there are still many bugs in 3.1.9.*
2 ways to customize Foxdie:
- Tools—->Foxdie for Firefox
- Or click on the fox icon at the left of status bar to show that popup menu.

Anyway I have a problem with version 3.1.9.3, after I installed this version t stopped working. I mean I can’t customize anythng, theres no option in the Menu Bar (Tools -> Foxdie) it just doesn’t appear, same with the status bar icon, isn’t there.
Unfortunatly I don’t have a copy of version 3.1.9.2, so I was wondering if you or someone could mail me a copy of it.

I would like to know how to remove Foxdie from the tools menu in FF3. I have uninstalled Foxdie 3.1.9.3 in Firefox but the menu item remains. Also the Foxdie icon is still in the bottom status bar. How do I remove these 2 items?
BTW, I like the theme but just won’t be using it. So I should be able to remove these 2 items when I uninstall the theme.

I am using Firefox 3.5.3 and this new version works well for me!
Of course I needed to adapt (improve) some of my “stylish” items to make them compatible, but overall, the little amount of work required worth’s it
Also, Colorfultabs add-on only works with some of the layouts, but it is a minor inconvenient. I am using one that I like and which support Colorfultabs: Firegray.

JUST SOLVED THE PROBLEM!!!
At least for me, I was using FF the Spanish Language Version, Right now I UNINSTALLED it and switched to the ENGLISH version and everything is working! I also did a Registry Clean-Up just in case.

Hey, John. Can you do me a favor for the next build of Foxdie- Please remove the color difference that appears when i unfocus from a Firefox window. Half the time, when i focus back on the window, it doesn’t change back to the original color pattern- a major glitch. Also, when unfocused, it doesn’t match the WB theme.

First, you need to get two extensions for Firefox: Fission and Hide Menubar. Then you need to get WindowBlinds and get a Snow Leopard WB theme (I think John can send it to you). Apply the WB theme, turn on the Firefox extensions and you’re done. If you want, you can add a Mac wallpaper, screensaver, cursor pack, icon pack, logon screen, dock etc.

Just one suggestion could you add “Don’t show close button on tab” ?I don’t use them, because I use middle click to close tabs

7. Q: Why your theme doesn’t look good with Personas?
A: Personas assumes that the default theme is used and hack it, so when you change to a 3rd-party theme, problems come out. This is Personas’ issue, and it need to change the way it works in future.

A: AnyColor and ColorfulTabs are designed for themes which use semi-transparent images with OS color supporting, as the default theme on Windows and all the mod theme of the default one, this is totally different from Foxdie design and many other 3rd-party themes.

i´m using a portable version – what was never a problem before.it is 3.6 beta1 – i think this is the problem.
i tried it with a complete new version/profile – same problem. so it is not any incompatibility with other add-ons.
i had this problem before (you remember?) – but at this time my FF was so “dirty” – with add ons and many other “customization”.
could anyone reproduce this problem?

It is a nice theme, but I’m aggravated right now, because I did not at this moment choose to change themes from the other one that I was currently using. I have Foxdie installed, and allowed it to update itself, and upon my most recent browser restart Foxdie evidently activated itself as the active theme. It IS a very nice theme, but I’m not happy about Foxdie SETTING ITSELF as the active skin on my latest restart.

A PS. I’ve been playing around with the customization options and those are very cool. But right now only ONE of the ‘toolbar button’ styles (AERO) allows the pull-down list to show adjacent to the fwd./back ‘recent history’ buttons. PLEASE if possible, make showing that pull-down menu a completely separate option. I would love to use several of the other “toolbar button’ styles, but CANNOT use a layout that omits that recent history pull-down list.

Oh, maybe… you switch to Foxdie theme but cancel that “Are you sure you want to restart Firefox to apply the theme?” If you did this by accident, then Foxdie will be the active theme on your latest restart…

You can right click on the back/forward buttons to get that history menu shown, actually Mozilla will remove that drop marker from Firefox in future, maybe in Firefox 3.7, I’m not sure right now

Ok, i probably confuse you with what i think is the right terminology so i apologise for any confusion.
I uploaded the screenshots to tinypics but one of the problems i’m having is stopping me showing you the link.
I have no address bar (e.g. http/www…etc). The bit where the web address appears therefore cannot copy the link address.
Are there any other ways of showing you the screenshots?
In the meantime i’ll try explain a little clearer.
If i, for example, want to download the latest firefox, when i click to download it, the pop up window appears asking me if i want to save or open with a specific program. That’s all good but at the bottom of the pop up window i now have a blank space where “save” and “cancel” should be.
I hope this makes sense.
This all changed at the same time foxdie installed.

You need WindowBlinds for the “three dots”. They’re actually called trafficlights.
Get WindowBlinds, ask John for the Snow Leopard theme (he gave it to me once, i’m sure he can send it to you. 
) Then you need to download the “Hide Menubar” add-on. That’s to hide the File, Edit etc. menus. You can still see them if you press the Alt. key. Then download the “Fisiion” add-on and you’re done. Hope i helped.

I have FoxDie (Blue) theme for latest firefox on Windows Vista and I saw a mistake on your design.
1) Go to Tools
2) Clear recent history
3) Time range to clear “everything”
4) Select everything to clear
5) The details button shows at the your left empty, and the Details word is out from the button at your right.
I reported this small mistake with many details I think

I would like to know how to remove Foxdie from the tools menu in FF3. I have uninstalled Foxdie 3.1.9.3 in Firefox but the menu item remains. Also the Foxdie icon is still in the bottom status bar. How do I remove these 2 items?

I’m using 3.1.9.3. Great. But I have a little problem wiht the bookmark window, when I’m trying to add a new entry it’s imposible to select the folder where place the new entry. The tree of folders is not working ok, not refresh itself. (excuse me for my English)
I’m using a Kubuntu 9.10, firefox 3.5.5 and Foxdie 3.1.9.3. I’ve tried with others themes and the bookmarks windows works ok.
In the same computer I have a Windows Vista Home with firefox 3.5.5 and Foxdie 3.1.9.3. And its working OK.
Somebody has the same problem.

Oh I don’t have a Linux to test right now, and I think this is hard to fix on 3.1.9.*, because 3.5 with everything redesigned will come out soon, if it still there, then I’ll fix it in 3.5 later

i have to say, this is my all-time favorite firefox theme. not only am i praising your work, but i’m also giving a suggestion:
for the tabbar layout, how about having one where the tabs are above the location bar? go to the “vfox3″ theme to see what i mean.
i don’t mean to be offensive. all i mean is that i love your theme but i like the tabbar layout for the vfox3 theme.

Yes I understand, but I think it’s not the time to move tab to top right now, because the menubar is still there and the titble bar is hard to handle.

I will do it if they decide the final one, then the menubar will be merged into a button and the title bar will display as tab bar, this would the time to make tab on top

Great theme, but the draggable option is still annoying for me. When I accidentally click links or anywhere accidentally, the window changes into its windowed mode. Make an option to disable the draggable mode please!! It would be perfect after that!

This theme aint us fun on Windows XP ||:( It would be really good if you made the XP into Mac. Those top bits that only show circles(Without the _, [_] or the X. If you get what i mean. :L

Thx! its working fine! Just 1 request for the new release when it comes out: add the new Collections panel to the extentions/plugins/themes space. Its missing in your theme and we can only acess it by reverting to the original firefox =/

Above the address bar, on the bookmark toolbar, i have a googlebar so there too. pretty much anywhere on the window.
I’m sure people like the draggable mode, but if it were completely optional it would be absolutely perfect. Thanks!

I use Firefox for linux and I just installed Foxdie. But There’s no “Foxdie for Firefox” in my “tools”menu, and no fox icon in the status bar. how can i cunstomize Foxdie? how to edit the profile?

ex: if i have only one tab opened, i can’t see the favicon on it, if i open another one they both display the favicon…

Because Firefox 3.5 set the close button disappear in the last opened tab by default, so if the favicon is there, then the text can’t be in the center position, to keep it center, the favicon has to be hidden in the last opened tab, plus… this will save more space for the text.
I think favicon don’t need to show in the last opened tab, you’ve already had it in the urlbar
But…if you still want it, you need to make the close button displayed in the last opened tab, so…I’ve just added a new option in version 3.1.9.4 which is the last version before Foxdie 3.5 comes out
And… are you still using the former “Foxdie theme settings”? It is designed for Foxdie 3, not 3.1.9.*

Hey, John. With Foxdie 3.5 approaching and the mania around forums of redesigning their web pages, i thought it would be cool if you launched a redesigned foxdie webpage on the date of 3.5 launch. I’ve actualy come up with a design.

Hi – I’m running Firefox 3.5.6 and am being prompted to install the latest Foxdie update but recieve an error message saying the updates cannot be installed because they are not secure. Is this a common problem? Is there a work around for this?

I have the same problem as Matt, same versions. Firefox for the past few weeks has been notifying me of a Foxdie update, and after it downloads, it fails saying it is not secure. Is there an alternate way of downloading & installing the update?
