Get Foxdie 3.1.9.2 with new features here!!!

go check www.foxdie.us/download

Instruction:

3.1.9.* was upgraded from 3.1.0, but it was originally designed for Firefox 3.0 not Firefox 3.5,
Due to your waiting for the final perfect Foxdie 3.5 theme which I haven’t finished, I fixed some bugs of 3.1.0 to make it compatible with Firefox 3.5, but there are still many bugs in 3.1.9.*

2 ways to customize Foxdie:

  • Tools—->Foxdie for Firefox
  • Or click on the fox icon at the left of status bar to show that popup menu.

What’s new:

  1. Bugs fixed
  2. Background changing
  3. Tab stuffs
  4. Changing to Snow Leopard color
  5. Aero Glass supporting (works with Glasser/Glasser Pojo)
  6. Here, there and everywhere…

What’s next

  1. New sub themes swicter in Foxdie 3.1.9.3

foxdie 3.1.9.1

    I also have this problem since the Foxdie 3.* version (I guess) :
    There is no folder image on bookmarked folders, neither none default image on bookmarked-without-favicon-websites : see http://www.gilawhost.com/images/421kubqf.jpg

    Another request : is it possible to have the former circle animated image instead of the current one (see http://www.gilawhost.com/images/kbhf50ns.jpg ) when a page is loading ?

    And finally, a bug I noticed with the use of Glasser Pojo : the personal bookmarked websites font is “bit map” (means that we see some pixels on the font):
    see http://www.gilawhost.com/images/8jl8htbo.jpg
    (I hope you can see the result on the picture)
    I don’t know if you can do something, as it is due to the Glasser Pojo addon.

    Thx for your time! :D

    1. Please see what I said to EagleRed in #19 for your first issue :)

    2. The circle animated image can be found in navigation toolbar, tab, Add-ons window and some other places, I think we should make something different when the page is loading, so I changed it, I might use a new one for this in future. But if you still want it, please put the following into your userChrome.css

    /* loading image */
    tabbrowser tabpanels,
    :root:not([active="true"]) tabbrowser tabpanels {
    background-image: url(“chrome://xo/skin/throbber/loading_32.png”) !important;
    background-position: center !important;
    background-repeat: no-repeat !important;
    }

    3. when you disable Glasser/Glasser Pojo, you also need to disable the “Misc.–>Fix Glasser extension” option.

    I added some draggable elements into this theme since version 3191, to make it to what App could be dragged in Mac OS X. We can only drag the title bar in Windows, but in this theme, we can drag any place we want, don’t you think this is more convenient than before?

    hash :

    Is there a way to remove the click-move for status bar at the bottom?

    I don’t like it just because I have set, in my MW(Compiz), to not to allow of drgaing/resizing of any maximized window and that behavior is braking that rule.
    And thought above is not real problem, but the problem is arouse when I try to hit any thing on status bar, for example AdBlock Plus, Greasemonkey, NoScript, Xmarks icons, and miss it then FireFox window jumps to the size of not miximized and that behavior is very annoying!
    I don’t ask it to be removed, I ask just for an option to disable that and, if that not hard to you, to how can I disable it in your code before next version.

    Great theme John. You could keep the click-move status bar thing, but let it be optional, ;)
    P.S: Searched through the net for SnowLeopard WindowBlinds themes, and the only “Snow Leopard” theme i could find was pure white. :( I really wish there were two versions: one with leopard colors and the other with snow leopard colors. I know that a lot of people don’t use a Leopard WindowBlinds theme with it and don’t care if it doesn’t match, but i’m going all the way with Leopardizing. ;)

  51. simsfan96 says:

    Hey John. The theme you sent me is stunning to say the least. With my old theme, a few pixels were left from the background at the top when i maximized. That problem’s gone. Another thing is the trafficlights: they look so much more “yummy” :D . I do however hate the fact, that both the up and down button in the theme’s scrollbars are on the bottom. (I know you also have them like that, but in your theme there’s no bugs with that. Here in the WB theme, if the scroll bar’s at the top, there’s a small gap. When it’s on the bottom, it covers up the “Up” button, which doesn’t really work as an up button. The “down” button works as Down and the empty space at the top works as the Up button. Other than that, thanks. I only wish i had an ObjectBar theme to match. ;)

    P.S.:Sorry if there are any spelling mistakes, but as you know, there’s an issue with the comment box.

    The “Version number” seriously states, that it’s not just bug fixes. I’m guessing you’re adding the currently grayed out “Location bar” & “Bottom bars” options. Just a thought, but maybe you could add support for custom backgrounds? ;) Someone may like to do that, even though I wouldn’t have any use of it. Also I think you should change the name of that options group from “Backgrounds” to “Sub themes”, because it changes so much more than the background. It changes the tab style and layout of some items. Anyway, keep it up and thanks again for the help with the WB theme. I really appreciate it.
    Just don’t change the Foxdie logo (it’s so cool, I actually had it on my Skype for a few months a while back) and don’t make the theme “Buyable”. That would be a turn for the worst.

  57. simsfan96 says:

    Made a few mistakes on the post above. John, move the “Firegray”, “Firelight” & others to a Sub-Themes options menu, instead of them being in the “Backgrounds group”. That would make sense. ThThen put some new backgrounds in the “backgrounds” menu and add a “Select custom background” option there also. ;)

    I can’t tell too much right now, but it’s hard to give it a good name, one of the reasons I name it “background” is that these options will be in the same radio group with suit changing, backgrounds included… btw, there are more than 200 options in the “background” menu of version 3.5, so I will use other solution instead of this foxdie menu extension, name might be changed if I have any better one for it.

    This logo is created by my classmate, it will be changed if it has to be in future, I think it’s not good enough especially when it’s in a dark background…

    First of all, many thanks for this great theme!
    Also thanks for the update this morning; after the update was installed I was left with a browser without any toolbar… The only thing I could do to restore is to remove the extension folders.
    My Conf:
    Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.14) Gecko/2009091010 Iceweasel/3.0.6 (Debian-3.0.6-3)
    Could you please provide the previous release Foxdie 3.1.0 or maybe I could edit some/file in the:
    foxdie_ext_ocelot@foxdie.us/ or FoxdieGraphite@tanjihay.com/ folders?
    The download of 3.1.0 redirects to the new 3.1.9.2 release.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi

    Please update to Firefox 3.5
    Then you will have those toolbars back

    This happen because of some codes I added into 319, but I forgot to make it work only in FF3.5, this causes when you are still using FF3, toolbars will disappear…

    To prevent FF3 users from having the same issue as yours, I need to make some changes to it right now, and I’ll upload a newer version in a week :)

    I’ve just sent you an email… ;-)

    Hi John,
    Since I am a Debian/Stable user I won’t be able to upgrade to FF 3.5 easily. So I will wait for your update.
    Many thanks again! Keep up the good work, it is very appreciated.
